2009 marks the start of the start-up years for Qatargas. Construction work on the expansion projects is making steady progress.  Train 4 of the Qatargas 2 project, which is the first of the four new mega trains, is expected to start producing LNG in 2009.  Qatargas' total LNG production is expected to increase to 42 million tonnes per annum by the end of the decade.
